The Most Exciting Cars of 2014

For many people, a car (or truck) is almost like a part of the family. People name their cars, give them housing (garages), and even talk to their favorite vehicles. Updating a car with a new model isn’t always easy to do, but the following new cars might make you think twice about keeping that beloved old beater in the garage.
1. 2014 BMW M4

As successor to the M3, there are high expectations for the new BMW M4. The vehicle promises to feel just as at home on the track as it does on the open road with its 420 horsepower and a twin-turbocharged engine.

2. 2014 Cadillac ELR

Although the Chevy Volt has gotten a positive reception, many drivers have been waiting for a luxury version of the electric wonder mobile, and the Cadillac ELR just might be the vehicle for which electric aficionados have been waiting. Don’t you want to look like a gangsta at Montreal events you go to?

3. 2014 Subaru WRX

Subaru vehicles are legendary for inspiring the love and adoration of drivers. Many drivers never buy anything else after they drive a Subaru. With the introduction of the sleek new Subaru WRX, vehicles like the Ford Focus ST and the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO will have some tough competition.

4. 2014 Ford Fiesta ST

A look at an old Ford Fiesta from the first years of the model often inspire comments like, “look at that roller skate,” but the new Ford Fiesta ST won’t be the brunt of anyone’s jokes. The fun 5-door hatchback is a small, zippy car that promises a wild, fun drive for any buyer.

5. 2014 Maserati Ghibli

This “entry level” luxury sedan seeks to take on competitors like the Mercedes-Benz E-class and the Audi A6, and it might be the best way to get a Maserati without sacrificing a first-born child to pay for it. The top model offers a beefy 404 horsepower and a turbocharged V-6. Montreal math tutors will agree, this car is not cheap.

6. 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

A vehicle with a storied history and ardent fans all over the world, the newest Chevrolet Camaro gives drivers the opportunity to get a V8 with 426 horsepower under the hood. Chevrolet also offers a version with a lower cost attached to please budget-conscious drivers who still want to be seen in a powerful sports car.

Choosing the Right Mechanic for Your car

Your auto mechanic is going to be one of the most important people who come into your life. This person will be responsible for keeping your car up and running during crucial times. Therefore, you will want to conduct thorough research before hiring an auto mechanic for your family vehicle.
The first thing you can do if you are looking for a reputable mechanic is ask friends and family members. Maybe someone can point you in the direction of someone who has already done a great deal of work for his or her family. This is the best method for finding a good mechanic, because you will be able to get a live review from the customer.

If you cannot get a friend or family member to offer you information about a trusted mechanic, the next step is searching on the internet or in person. You may even want to go the online route before you visit the shop. Many times, you will find information about a mechanic shop right away that will turn you off. Once you receive negative information about a specific shop, you can automatically erase that shop from your list.

Review the shop’s website for information on pricing, tenure, contact and other information. Check and see that the business is legitimate by searching for affiliation with the Better Business Bureau and like organizations. Then, search the internet for consumer comments, ratings and testimonials. This will give you a whole picture of the organization before you do business with it.

Finally, the time will come when you want to go into the mechanic’s office and take a visual inventory of the goings on inside the establishment. You will want to make sure the waiting room is clean, the mechanics and other staff members are friendly, and everyone who is dealing with cars is knowledgeable and certified. Speak with a mechanic about your problem, and try to get an estimate from him or her. Compare the estimate with a few other mechanics in the area to find the best deal. Once you have found a reliable place to take care of your vehicle, you can take it to them for something minor. If they do a satisfactory job with your vehicle, you can trust the firm for additional tasks. Have them look at your cars paint and plumbing to make sure everything is in check.

Growing Car Entertainment Systems

On-the-go entertainment is a growing industry. As more and more people travel, they need to incorporate all of their modern entertainment luxuries. This includes a satellite radio for music, MP3 hookups for when nothing good is on the radio, televisions with streaming capabilities or DVD players, and more. With modern car entertainment systems, one doesn’t have to go without their favorite amenities, no matter how long their trip is.
Music is still the cornerstone of any great entertainment system. Several devices can be incorporated into the system in order to create the perfect sound, including state-of-the-art speakers. Almost as important as sound quality is where the music is coming from. Travelers are no longer limited by a single AM/FM radio. Satelite services allow drivers to gain access to hundreds of stations with a single subscription. Cassette and CD devices aren’t even included in some modern models, instead they are replaced by audio in ports and MP3 player charging stations. I enjoy recording my Montreal guitar lessons or language lessons and listening to them while I drive.

Television is still a popular add-on to the entertainment system, as it keeps passengers occupied with their favorite games or movies. Internet hot spots can help improve this experience and allows for streaming using a number of different services. Wi-fi access gives passengers access to a whole library of movies and TV shows, rather than carrying around several discs on the trip. Or you could transfer your vhs to dvd and watch them on the road.

All of these powerful features can be tied into a single touch-screen, some of which can be voice activated. With the touch of a button, the driver can switch between radio and TV or get directions with a built-in GPS unit. Some vehicles can even take it a step further, linking cell phones to the main sound system. This allows the driver to answer and make calls without ever taking their eyes off of the road.

As technology continues to flourish, more and more amenities will be added to car entertainment systems. These features that are now considered a luxury will soon be the standard for many vehicles as the technology becomes cheaper to produced. Compared to a single AM/FM radio tuner, these new car entertainment systems are a definite improvement.

New Night life In Old Montreal

This is a sponsored post of Tourisme-Montreal.Org

Famous for its night life, downtown Montreal has a bar to fit every personality, individual preference and budget. From the cheapest brews and burgers to upscale wine bars, there is something for everyone. In fact, the night life and party atmosphere of Montreal rivals that of anywhere in the world.

Loads of visitors flock to the variety of bars and nightclubs in the areas of Ste.Catherine, rue Crescent and rue St.Laurent. But it’s Old Montreal that is getting the trendy new bars and restaurants these days. Full of marvelous old buildings and fine architecture, Old Montreal is the popular Canadian party city’s oldest part of town.

For those nightclub patrons that like to sip tasty cocktails or cold draft and gyrate to electronic music, two newer clubs in Montreal are the place to be. Club UN on Rue Notre-Dame West and Velvet near rue St.Paul East cater to the tech music lovers.

Dress goes from casual to haute couture at Club UN, especially on Thursday nights for what they have started calling PLAY nights. A good club to bump into Montreal’s locals, Club UN charges a modest $10 entrance fee. Then eat, drink and join everyone out on the dance floor to Trance, Progressive, House and Tech-House tunes. This club boasts having the city’s best DJs, Aton, Maus and Jorg.

Velvet is a night club tucked away in a tunnel with no sign. It is reminiscent of one of the old speakeasies during the days of Prohibition. If you are a tourist, leave your shorts, t-shirts, jeans and flip flops packed. There are models that work here as bartenders. The locals that frequent Velvet are pretty much all high-end fashion enthusiast. You are likely to feel uncomfortable and out of place if you don’t “dress to impress.” Velvet often hosts internationally known DJs that provide tech, house and hip-hop music.

For those with taste in music a little more on the classic side, le Piano Rouge is the new place to go in Old Montreal.Located on St. Paul East, le Piano Rough has an atmosphere that is unique to this night club. The music transcends time from classical to last century’s jazz to pop. The piano is often accompanied by voices and other instruments. Then the DJ’s crank up the soul and funk music later at night. Le Piano Rough is also well-liked for it’s delicious signature margaritas.

Does your car fit your needs?

This Post is Sponsored By  Mazda 3 Mazda Dealer Hawkesbury

For good reason, the car market is jam-packed with vehicles that are engineered to fulfill the specific needs of the driver. Unfortunately, not every motorist picks the best vehicle that fits their needs. Here are some descriptions of various types of vehicles, which will help you to select an automobile that suits you best.

Mazda 3S

Pickup Truck
If you plan on doing a lot of hauling and towing, then your best bet will be to opt for a pickup truck. Although most are two-wheel drive, you can choose to buy a truck that is equipped with a 4WD system. For the drivers with families, you should seek to find a pickup truck that is designed with a crew cab. The benefit of a crew cab is that the rear passengers usually have substantially more leg room than in an extended cab. Both the Ford F-150 and Dodge Ram 1500 are excellent choices for the 2013 model year. The Toyota Tacoma is also a top choice if you prefer a smaller compact truck.

Mazda CX-5

Mid-sized & Large Sedans
When it comes to selecting a sedan, aspiring buyers have many choices. Sedans are good for drivers that intend on hauling the family around from time to time. Some things to consider are initial cost, fuel economy, driving dynamics, power output, and available safety features. Although a sports-tuned suspension will improve the car?s handling ability, the ride is often more harsh. Powerful sedans such as the Chrysler 300 SRT8 are equipped with a monstrous engine, but suffer quite a bit when it comes to gas mileage. On the other hand, four-cylinder Honda Accords usually gets great gas mileage. Luxury sedans such as the Lexus LS are quit a bit more expensive, but they have all the high-tech amenities that you can imagine.

Mazda 8

Economy Car
These types of vehicles are usually budget-minded and deliver excellent fuel economy. Economy cars have no problems fulfilling the duties of a daily driver. You have the option of choosing an economy car in the form of a coupe, sedan or hatchback. Some high-performance versions like the Honda Civic Si and the Mazdaspeed3 offer blistering performance. Check out the Mazda 3 Mazda Dealer Hawkesbury inventory.

SUVs and Crossovers
SUVs are great because they give drivers the functionality of a truck minus the bed. Meanwhile, crossovers deliver a car-like ride with a higher ground clearance and more cargo capacity. The Mazda CX-5 is a worthy choice as a crossover vehicle.

Three Must-have Retirement Products

This post is proudly brought to you by one of your sponsored site.

Retirement preparation is like insurance: you can only get it before it’s needed. With preparing for retirement, there are certain things you need to check off your list of “things to do” so that you are ready.

Among the many retirement products out there, there are three that no person should do without, and they are a Roth IRA, long-term care insurance, and The Retirement Maze, which may be the most important book ever written on the subject.

Tax Free Withdrawals

Roth IRAs Allow: Tax-free Withdrawals

When people contribute money to a Roth IRA, they do so with after-tax dollars. While this does not allow for a larger tax refund at the end of the year (because there is no deferral) it does allow for incredible tax savings later.

When a person withdraws from a traditional IRA, there are always tax consequences, even at the age of 109, but a Roth can be completely liquidated and there will be no tax consequences, even if only $50,000 were contributed and they grew to $150,000.

With income taxes being historically low, a Roth is a safe place to invest for the future.

Long-term Care Insurance Protects you When you Cannot Protect Yourself

Retirement Product

Hopefully, you’ll never need long-term care insurance, and most never do, but it would be reckless to deny yourself, and your family, this very affordable insurance plan. Long-term care insurance covers you in the event that you have a catastrophic event that changes your life forever, preventing you from working.

If you work in radio and lose your voice, this insurance will cover you while you gain a new skill so as to adequately take care of yourself. The same goes for a welder who loses his sight.

The Retirement Maze

When Dr. Robert Pascale retired at the age of 51, he thought he had certainly figured out how to live. He was wealthy and ready to pursue his ultimate passion: art. What Dr. Pascale, like so many retirees, found was that he had entered retirement with only vague notions of how he would live, and it almost ruined him.

The Retirement Maze

As he picked up the pieces, he wrote this incredible book that is based on in depth research involving 10,000 retirees’ interviews. It saved his life and it can make yours so much better.

Of all the retirement products out there, these three should not be gone without.

To Get a New Dishwasher – or Not to Get a New Dishwasher

This is a sponsored post of

Sure, you know when your dishwasher isn’t working! It doesn’t clean the dishes!

Sometimes, though, it is assumed that a dishwasher needs to be replaced when it fails to perform adequately. This assumption may not necessarily be true but often it takes a Whirlpool repair service to determine the condition of your dishwasher or repair the things that go wrong with it.

Dishwasher Repairing

Dishwashers are rather uncomplicated machines in concept but need maintenance and care to perform properly. Following the instructions in your owners’ manual can allow you to do much of this maintenance and care at home.

Missing owner’s manual? Either check on-line or call a Whirlpool repair service in your area. For a relatively low price, you can obtain a new one. Be sure to know the brand and model number of your appliance. A serial number often helps with finding the right owners manual. The chassis of the dishwasher should have a plate with the serial number you can read.

Repair Your Old Whirlpool Dishwasher

Warning signs of problems with your dishwasher:

1. Visible leaks on the floor or, if you dishwasher is built-in, behind the dishwasher around the water lines.
2. Failure to start, using the timer.
3. Residue on dishes after the cycle has completed.
4. Water fails to empty.
5. Soap dispenser is still full after the cycle.
6. Top section of the dishwasher does not clean.
7. Water is lukewarm rather than hot.
8. No water reaches the machine.
9. Broken or malfunctioning baskets and rollers.
10. No power reaches the machine.

All of these are reasons to be concerned, but only a few of them are reasons to replace your dishwasher. Most may be fixed by Whirlpool dishwasher repair.

An active Do-It-Yourselfer might decide to repair a dishwasher by herself or himself. It is inadvisable, however, to do major repairs such as repairing or replacing timers and pumps yourself because of the plumbing and electrical hazards involved. The hazards are not only to the person doing the work but also the people using the appliance after the repair is done. An experienced Whirlpool repairperson can make sure the job is done correctly and safely.

Whirlpool Dishwasher Repairing

The Whirlpool appliance repair may also offer solutions for improving the appearance of not only your dishwasher but also other appliances. Remember that we are all on budgets and repairing is less expensive than replacing.

The Dodge Dart GT is Ready to Hit the Streets

Driving enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Dodge Dart GT. The stylish sedan will offer a unique option in the sport compact segment. Although the standard Dodge Dart is quite impressive, the GT version conveys an even more menacing profile. Unlike some compact cars, it has the performance dynamics to match its vigorous styling. The lively, naturally-aspirated engine promises to run circles around the competition. To further boost its appeal, the GT is projected to deliver an exceptional fuel economy rating. The available amenities will be second to none in its class. The affordability is sure to lure car owners who wish to add a sport-inspired element to their daily commute.

2013 Dodge Dart GT

Power will come from a robust 2.4-liter, “Tigershark” engine. The energetic power train punches out 184 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. Most driving enthusiasts will prefer the standard six-speed manual gearbox. However, the optional automatic transmission sacrifices very little fun behind the behind the wheel. Active shutters in the grill will enhance the aerodynamics of the Dart GT, thus increasing the highway fuel economy numbers.

Interior of 2013 Dodge Dart GT

Aside from the Dart GT’s impressive power output, another strong point may be its excellent road holding ability. Not only will the sport-tuned suspension provide a lower stance, it will also allow the sedan to carve corners with more precision. Frequency-sensing shock absorbers will bring a different driving dynamic to the Dart lineup. Sport-inspired wheels and tires help the racy sedan to grip the road surface.

Review of 2013 Dodge Dart GT

There are a few cosmetic upgrades that distinguish the GT from the other Dart trims. The sporty fascia looks aggressive with the painted black grill. Unique headlights bezels give the GT an extra touch of authenticity. The 18-inch rims add to the sedan’s a racy appearance. Bestowed with an integrated dual-exhaust setup, the Dodge Dart GT looks ready for action.

2013 Dodge Dart GT Review

The inside of the cabin continues to exhibit a sporty flair. The leather seats are enhanced with red snitching, which helps the interior to standout. The available amenities are among the best in its class. There are not many compact vehicles that can achieve this level of comfort. An 8.4-inch touch-screen infotainment eases the stress of daily driving. An available technology package also adds safety features such as blind-side monitoring and rear parking assist.

2012 Chevy Camaro Review

The Camaro has been a big seller for Chevy since it was re-introduced in 2009. Its retro styling pays homage to the Camaros of years gone by. Along with the Challenger, the Camaro has begun a second era of the muscle car for Chevy.

2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1

There are three trim levels for the 2012 Chevy Camaro: V-6, SS and ZL1. They offer a nice assortment of features. Steering wheel mounted cruise control, oil-life monitoring, a graphic display FM/AM/MP3/CD sound system with iPod input, Bluetooth phone connectivity, OnStar including six months of service and Sirius/XM satellite radio all come standard.

Various appearance modifications, sunroof and navigation are available as upgrades. There is also a Connectivity and Convenience package that includes the Preferred Device Interface Module, a leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel and USB support.

2012 Chevy Camaro Review

There are three engines available for the 2012 Camaro: 3.6-liter V-6 with 323 horsepower, a 6.2-liter V-8 with 426 horsepower and a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 with 580 horsepower. These correspond to the V-6, SS and ZL1 Camaros. A six-speed automatic transmission with TAPshift manual shift control and a six-speed manual transmission are available. Even though it weighs in at 3,800 pounds, the Camaro is nimble. This is due to a well-tuned suspension setup. Steering compliments the chassis by being stable and communicative.

2012 Chevy Camaro

Fuel Economy

This is not the car that you buy if you want to save the planet or save money on gas. The V-6 model gets 19/30 mpg when using the six-speed automatic transmission. The ZL1 gets 14/19 mpg.

All 2012 Camaros feature low canopies, strong flared fenders and bold faces. Low-slung bumpers, rear overhangs and bluff front help give it a sleek look with size and mass. The cabin has more of a retro feel to it. The nested bezels, vintage typeface and low-mounted console gauge cluster may remind some drivers of the classic 1960s Camaros.

Review of 2012 Chevy Camaro

The 2012 Chevy Camaro coupe received five stars from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in all the categories of crash testing. This is great news for a car that is capable of generating a large amount of power. Standard safety features include OnStar with Automatic Crash Response, anti-lock brakes, eight standard airbags and traction and stability control. Also included is a heads-up display that shows speed, navigation and other things on the windshield. This allows the driver to focus on the road.

Drivers who want power and performance need look no further than the 2012 Chevy Camaro. An American icon has returned in a big way.
